European Spinelessness & Subservience Reaches New Depths
It's a brave new world, say goodbye to the old...
Biden: “If Russia invades...then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”
Reporter: “But how will you do that exactly, since the project is in Germany’s control?”
Biden: “I promise you, we will be able to do that.”
Hey, have you seen that thing in the headlines the last few days, you know, the thing about the massive act of corporate terrorism, possibly the biggest and most brazen we’ve ever seen? You know the one, the Nord Stream sabotage thingy? No? Neither have I. That’s because it’s being memory-holed. That’s right––it’s being disappeared, removed from collective consciousness. Don’t believe me? Just go on the ‘World’ page of any of the major British newspapers and tell me if you see it. (I didn’t even bother to check the American press.) Is it there? Nah, of course it isn’t. And can you guess why? Go on, have a guess… I’ll wait.
Alright then, I’ll tell ya: It’s because they don’t want you thinking too much about who really did it. They want you to forget it, put it out of mind.
Think about it. If Russia had sabotaged the pipelines it spent billions laying under the Baltic Sea (when they could have just turned off the taps), do you think it wouldn’t still be plastered all over every news channel in the global ‘West’? Of course it would. Just like the invasion of Ukraine was all over every channel for almost a month. They’d be taking every opportunity to get the world riled up about the dirty Russian terrorists (Can you believe it? They’ve resorted to blowing up their own pipelines in order to get back at Germany!).
But what do we have instead?
All over Europe, no one is willing to stand up and point the finger at the real culprit in the room. I mean, it’s almost laughable. Sickening, too, but I’m practically speechless at the levels of willing blindness and cognitive dissonance I’m seeing in Europe right now.
Let’s be honest for a moment, Europe is wealthy, not because it’s rich in its own resources––Europe has practically none of its own––but because for 300 years it has raped and plundered the Global South, i.e.: Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, South East Asia, China, and yes, even Russia. Everything Europe has is stolen. Now Germany (and the rest of Europe) has allowed a NATO ally to sabotage its future energy security, and not a peep has been uttered, not a single politician (alright, one Pole) has had the backbone to stand up and point the finger at the real culprit.
What now? Well, the European economy has effectively been consigned to the dustbin. Watch, painfully, over the next ten years as our standard of living goes down the toilet, millions fall into poverty, possibly even hunger, all while our politicians continue to tell us, ‘Put on another jacket, you’ll be fine’.
Well, as I said, everything we have is plundered. Maybe Europe is due a bit of poverty. And dare I say, we might even deserve it.
